Goblins

Deep in a crevice in the rocky mountains that now border France and Spain, a swarthy, ugly race of fairies came into being. Undetected at first, the diminutive creatures spread throughout Europe, dwelling in the mossy cracks of rocks and tree roots. Finding humans, they ventured into villages. Hiding away on boats, they made their way to England. As people began to spot them, their reputation grew. Ill-mannered, poorly-behaved, with putrid breath, goblins began to populate stories and folklore.

Although the nature of goblins varies from menacing to malevolent, all goblins love chaos and trouble. A goblin may hide small objects or alter a signpost to trick a traveler. They weave nightmares out of cobwebs, which they insert into human ears. Some goblins have even stolen human babies, exchanging them for ugly goblin infants, called changelings. Even their laughter sours milk and causes fruit to fall from trees.

When humans began mining for metals and minerals, cave-dwelling goblins took their mischief to new levels. Blowing out the miners’ dim lanterns and breaking their tools, these cave-goblins became known as “knockers” for the mysterious tapping noises they made to confuse the miners in the dark underground tunnels. (In other countries, knockers are known by other names: In Germany they are called kobolds and wichtlein, while they are called coblynau in Wales.) Offended by the miners’ whistling or swearing, knockers showered the miners’ heads with small stones. If it appeared a miner had lost his wits, heartless knockers would pop out from the rocks, pulling their already ugly faces into horrible grimaces to torment him further. With time, however, some miners found a way to calm, and even befriend their underground foes. By leaving a portion of their pastie—the miner’s traditional meal—the miners could win a knocker’s goodwill. In return, a knocker might lead the miner to a wealthy lode.

As miners tore away and destroyed the goblins’ cavernous homes, the goblins returned the favor in like kind. Following the men into their villages, goblins took up living in farmhouses, taking their revenge upon the human households. It was found that many goblins favored children—especially naughty children! At first such children, attracted by the goblins’ wicked sense of humor, agreed to their do goblin-friend’s bidding. However, a goblin is never a loyal friend, as many children learned when deserted to receive severe punishments on their own. From their hiding spots, goblins rejoiced to watch adults lose their tempers and mete out severe punishments upon their children.

Like the miners, housewives soon found a way to chase off goblins who had taken up residence in their houses. By always remaining sweet-tempered, the ladies managed to bore the pests, sending him to look elsewhere for excitement. If that failed to work, the housewife could try spreading flax seed across her floors over night. Sometimes the goblin would feel compelled to pick up the seed by hand. Goblins, like gnomes, cannot endure the sunlight of day, and if their task could not be finished by dawn’s light, the frustrated goblin—unable to cause any mischief for the night, would move elsewhere.

Goblins are known to mimic human actions. How they are perceived in the natural world must give humans pause to reflect—for the goblin nature may very well be nothing more than a mirror held up to mankind, showing us the very worst aspects of our culture!

How to make the most of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm

Read full article | Comments Off

On August 21st, 2009, after a flurry of leaks and hints, Blizzard finally announced to the world the latest entry in its wildly popular Warcraft franchise. The new expansion, called World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, debuted with an impressive five minute trailer video that promised wide sweeping changes were coming to the beloved classic.

Players would be treated to two new playable races (the werewolf-like Worgen for the Alliance and the Gnome-esque Goblins for the Horde), flying mount travel in Azeroth, new race and class combinations, new monsters, dungeons and raids, hundreds of new quests, an intriguing new secondary skill in archeology, heroic versions of classic instances, new Battlegrounds, a Guild Leveling System complete with achievements, a new character progression path and much more.

Look closer though and you’ll see that beyond the laundry list of changes, there is something fundamentally very different about Blizzard’s approach to designing and developing Cataclysm. You see, where Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King looked to expand World of Warcraft’s gameplay, physical game world, and lore, up and outward, Cataclysm looks instead to improve upon what’s already there and more, to change it irreversibly.

The announcement trailer proudly proclaims; “Azeroth Reforged: Classic Zones Forever Changed By The Cataclysm”, a bold statement, but one that should give players a bit of insight into how Blizzard expects you to get the most out of its latest entry.

Consider for a moment, that when Wrath of the Lich King and Burning Crusade were released, players found that there was little to no incentive to return to the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. While new races were added to Burning Crusade, if you were a Nigh Elf, Gnome, Tauren or any of the original races there wasn’t much reason to go back and roll an alt. Instead you were encouraged to pick one of the two new races and play from their point of view. Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King in particular were more about refining WoW’s core gameplay, and giving long time subscribers new ways of playing and new areas to level in.

What Blizzard have done with Cataclysm is deviously brilliant. Without having to create entirely new continents they’ve come up with a scenario that will allow them to upset Classic Azeroth, to change areas and places we’ve been to and by now, know like the back of our hands, and to make it all worth your while to go back to the very beginning and witness a skewed, twisted version of Classic WoW all over again.

This is why the new level cap extends only to 85, the focus on this expansion is on starting over, in a very real sense everything old is new again. You’re encouraged to look inward, rather than outward to what might lie beyond Northrend. Blizzard could easily have introduced a new hero class in Cataclysm, but they didn’t, because that isn’t how they want you to play it, they wanted as much as possible to keep the focus on the classic WoW zones. Don’t believe me? Look no further than the official FAQ Blizzard released for Cataclysm:

“ As we developed new content and expansions, we learned a lot of techniques to provide players with a better game experience–but the majority of the new content we were creating was for high-level characters only. We felt we could apply the lessons of Outland and Northrend to improve the gameplay experience while leveling in the original two continents. Imagine revisiting a familiar zone like Darkshore only to find Auberdine destroyed by the cataclysm–and then discovering entirely new towns and quests in other parts of the zone.

Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms are central to World of Warcraft lore, and we want those areas to remain an important part of the game, not just a place to train or auction. Our goal is to make questing, leveling, and the overall story more fun for new, returning, and existing players. By redesigning areas of the original continents and introducing new content that matches or exceeds the quality of Wrath of the Lich King, we can revitalize the nostalgia and coolness of Azeroth.”

Pretty clear wouldn’t you think? With that in mind, here’s how to go about really making the most of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm:

Roll a new Alt: I know, I can hear the groans already, you probably don’t want to have to slog through boring old Darnassus again for the millionth time, Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms are old news. But you’re wrong, this time it really will be different.

Even when rolling an alt, there’s a tendency to go with what you know, to play it safe. This time, go for something radical, something entirely different. Are you a tank? Try rolling a priest. Do you prefer the hunter classes normally? Step outside your comfort zone and try going with a warrior this time. Are you a goody-two-shoes who just can’t bear the thought of being evil? Take the plunge and choose that Tauren, they’re really not so bad, or go all out and embrace the Undead.

Don’t forget about the two new races either. If you really want a fresh approach, try the diminutive Goblin or the cursed Worgen. Just have it in the back of your mind that as with all new expansions, new races and especially new race/class combos are a work in progress for Blizzard and you’ll probably see post-launch patches that switch and change your powers and abilities as they try to make sure things are balanced.

Speaking of powers and abilities, it’s probably worth embarking on the new “Path of Titans” character progression path with your new alt once you’ve hit level 85. We’re told it’ll tie directly into the newly introduced secondary skill of Archeology, but we’re not entirely sure exactly how just yet.

Now that you’ve got your fancy new alt, you’ll want to Stop, Look and Listen. Things have changed, by the sound of things they’ve changed a whole lot. The Barrens have been torn in two, the Badlands have been devastated, Darkshore will be flooded, Auberdine destroyed, and there will be new quests and towns springing up. Have some fun with this and take the time to explore the new sights and sounds. Sure you’ve been here before, but never like this, this isn’t the Azeroth you remember, it’s familiar, but different.

Start a World of Warcraft Photoblog: No, really, now is as good a time as any to start a WoW photoblog. The idea is similar to stop, look and listen, but this time you’re going to want to take a more pro-active approach and go about your business before Deathwing wrings the changes and upsets the world forever.

Form a party or group or just take a friend along with you and do some good old fashioned, virtual sight seeing. Take a few pictures by monuments, statues and other famous places in Azeroth, because after Cataclysm they’ll never be the same again. It’s not overstating the fact to say that this might be your last chance to get some images for posterity and remember Azeroth as it once was. Perhaps you might want to make it a guild project to preserve the images (or even video!) of Classic WoW, everyone loves a before and after photo album!

On the subject of guilds… it would be a great time to start a new guild and get it right this time. Sure your current guild has a gazillion members and is pretty successful, but isn’t there a part of you that really wants to start anew, and this time with the benefit of all your previous experience?

Have your main send your alt some wow gold, start the guild and build it from the ground up, build it with the express aim of collecting all the new achievements added to guild play. Have guild members embark on that Classic WoW cataloging assignment talked about earlier, be more selective about the folks you invite, choose a better name, better leaders. Basically, just build the guild you always wanted to but weren’t able to the first time around because of a lack of experience. Together you can work your way through the twenty new levels on offer in the new guild leveling system, earn those experience points, and purchase that guild talent!

Onyxia must die… again! Sure we’re being promised hundreds of new quests, new dungeons and raids like Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep to distract our attention, but none of these can really offer the warm nostalgic feeling of a re-jigged version of Onyxia’s lair. We aren’t sure exactly how, or to what extent the the redesign of classic instances and dungeons will change things, but it’s bound to make leveling up to 85 in the comfort of familiar surroundings a fun experience.

Still, probably the easiest and most sure-fire way to get the most out of Cataclysm, is to take your time and actually enjoy it.

It can’t be stressed enough, but far too many folks tend to rush through leveling, barely taking the time to enjoy the game, in the hopes that they will be the first to reach the new level cap, or just the first to some mundane achievement so they can make some headlines.

In the end, you’re only robbing yourself of the pleasure, instead just sit back and enjoy the ride, it’s unlikely that World of Warcraft will ever again see another expansion that makes such wide ranging changes, savor the moment, make the most of Cataclysm.

Tibia cavebot guide

Read full article | Comments Off

If you are looking to get high level fast in tibia without much done by you that cavebot is the vocation for you!And for the knights are the best vocation for cavebotting, they do not require a lot of attention. this
There are many different ways you can cavebot a knight, such as training to decent skills before you start botting or just fresh off rook botting.

Level:

8-15~ (4-7k exp/h)

From right off rook to about level 15 Trolls and Goblins in Edron are the best choice since they dont do much damage when your skills arent very high.

15-25~ (5-11k exp/h)

Now after level 15 your skills should be good enough to kill Rotworms sufficiently. The rotworm caves in Darashia are the best for these levels. Some people prefer hunting Larvas but it is all up to you and which you prefer.

25-50~ (13-17k exp/h)

After botting Rotworms to level 25, you now can bot GS Tomb in the Ankrahmun Desert. At level 25 your HP is enough to heal with Exura and no UHs needed. You can hunt here until level 50+ although the exp will start feeling slow.

50-80~ (22-30k exp/h)

Now that you are level 50+ you can handle cycs quite easily. Cycloplis is a good place for EXP straight to level 80. You may need to use some UHs while hunting here but the EXP and loot should pay off.

80-100+~ (35-43k exp/h)

Now at level 80 Dwarf Guards should be relatively easy for you. You can get around 40k exp/h hunting dwarf guards. Your skills should be atleast 80+/80+ to hunt them easily.

Read full article | Comments Off

Halloween Means Time for Creativity

Halloween is a great time of fun for kids of all ages. But it can also be a fun and creative time for the whole family. It’s estimated that 50% of Americans alone will decide to do some Halloween decorating but if you are one of the ones that haven’t decorated your house before, maybe this is your year to give it a shot. There are some great ways to make your home appear very scary for not a lot of money. Plus, its a really fun activity for everyone in the family. Here are some different ways for creating a scary but fun Halloween landscape.

Lighting Options

Light strings are a good starting point when thinking about Halloween lighting. They come in a variety of colors such as orange, black, green and purple as well as other colors and they are relatively inexpensive. They are also available in different Halloween shapes like pumpkins, goblins, ghosts and candy corn. They can be hung from trees and shrubs, strung along fences or attached to the eaves of the house.

Led lighting is another example of Halloween lighting and also is substantially cheaper than tradtional lighting because it uses much less energy. Many Halloween lights now offer flashing or pulsating LED lights and come in many vibrant colors. You can also buy LED up lighting with colored lenses to help create the mood. LED lighting is now available in costumes, candle lights and even in string lights.

Solar lighting has developed to a point where it has become comparable in quality and light output to other types of traditional lighting. Solar lights require no electricity because they store sunlight during the day and use it to generate its own electricity. Plus, they come in Halloween decor and they can be shaped liked ghosts, ghouls or a variety of other scary shapes.

Projection lighting is also a great option because it actually projects scary images on to your house, sidewalk or other objects.

A terrific way to add some fun without breaking the bank is replace your outdoor light covers with spooky Halloween covers. You can get them in a variety of colors and frightening shapes quite often for under $10. They are temporary cover so you can pull them off, store them and use them again next year.

When it comes to Halloween lighting, a popular choce for many people is the black light. They produce a dark purple glow after the sun goes down and highlights costumes and makeup that are fluorescent. You can buy black lights by themselves and replace existing outdoor lights or buy them with complete with a fixture.

Stand alone lighting is another option. These are decorative Halloween themed pieces that you place in the yard and have and have a lighting component to them. They may include pumpkins, lighted Halloween trees, tomb stones, ghouls, goblins or any number of different themes.

Use this as an opportunity to get the whole family involved! Pick a day and spend a few hours going to the store together to pick out your lights and have fun with Halloween lighting.

Halloween Costumes: A Surefire Tip to Selecting the Perfect Halloween Costume Quickly and Easily!

Read full article | Comments Off

Are you looking for a surefire tip to pick the perfect Halloween costume? If you’re like me, you want to plan in advance down to the last detail. You start by discussing things with your close friends. Then you begin your shopping, hopping from store to store, mall to mall, but you can’t seem to find your favorite costume. So what went wrong in the process?

Now that Halloween is approaching fast, you’re starting to panic over what to do! Well, fear not, for I am going to offer you a few cool ideas to help you select a great Halloween costume without spending either too much time or money on it!

The trick to picking up the right costume is not just planning ahead, but planning RIGHT! The first part of that plan should involve getting a fair idea of the character you would like to become on the Halloween night!

Have you recently seen a horror movie and are quite impressed by the dangerous look and personality of the villain? You can take on the garb of that villain if you like!

If you are very much into comic heroes, I don’t think you would have too much of a problem in deciding on the hero or heroine you want to be on Halloween!

When selecting the character, try to be a little original and creative. It is a good idea to let your imagination flow fast and wild. Ghosts, goblins and vampires, even though have become very old and commonplace Halloween characters, can be still made to look original by adding some unique make-up and props.

How about a vampire with bloody teeth or bloody hair? How about a goblin with a crooked body and scary eyes! Hmm, I think that by now you have well understood that costumes are just not enough to transform yourself into a scary figure; you would also need other accessories such as make-up, contact lenses, etc., as applicable! This is also the reason why you don’t need to stress yourself too much over the costume or spend a boatload of money on it!

If you love princesses, then how about becoming the belle of the ball? Princesses are not just for kids and you don’t have to wear a scary costume for your guests; Halloween costumes can be fun and sexy too!

Likewise, if you are a fan of a famous pop singer you can get the necessary cosmetics and accessories and disguise yourself like your idol! Victorian rogues are also very popular as Halloween characters, so don’t be afraid to experiment with different looks and attires!

Instead of spending hours browsing through the malls, check out the various online costume retailers. Most of them have thousands of costumes to choose from. Browse through the selections and get some ideas on what looks good on you. Then you can visit a few retailers and maybe try a few on. Many of the online retailers will also allow you to return the costume if it doesn’t fit you correctly.

One important thing to note is that no matter which costume you choose, if you are not able to carry it off well and you don’t feel confident in it, it would ruin your fun party. So, when selecting the character for your Halloween costume, make sure you would be able to carry off the character well. Just remember, your costume does not need to be perfect. Find something you enjoy, feel confident wearing and you’re sure to have a good time!

The Dirty Little Secrets of World of Warcraft Gold Guides

Read full article | Comments Off

Gold Guides are plastered on every World of Warcraft website promising untold riches for little effort. Pictures of scantily clad night elf girls lounging on flying epic mounts lure us with the promise we too can be gleaming golden goblin princes if only we pay the price. Master the dirty little secrets of World of Warcraft gold for free as described by a hardcore veteran player.

I am a four year veteran of World of Warcraft and I have multiple level 80 characters. During the time I have played Warcraft I have done it all, seen it all and read a few wow gold guides along the way. Although I am not yet a Warcraft gazillionaire or richer than a goblin prince, most of my characters have epic gear, flying mounts and nice epic gear and toys. The principles of making gold in World of Warcraft are well known to veteran players and all any wow guide does is put a slight twist or exaggeration on what we already know. So are you ready to be in the know? Good! There are only six ways to make large amounts of gold in World of Warcraft and when you are done reading you will know them all.

#1 The Auction House

As any wow guide will tell you, the Auction House in World of Warcraft is the kingmaker of the wealthy. Get the Auctioneer addon from Curse.com and search for items that are being sold for 30-50% less than their real value, mark them up and resell them. Reinvest your earnings to buy more wow items and make larger profits. Another trick is to buy undervalued magic items, disenchant them using the enchanting skill and sell the enchanting materials for a profit.

The best trick of all is to know the wauction house ell and when people will buy certain wow items. You can list potions and elixirs around 5 pm server time for 30% more because raiders will be getting stocked up for their nightly adventures.

Where to Train on Runescape

Read full article | Comments Off

There are many areas to train on Runescape, but they usually have a lot of people taking all the monsters. I will tell you specific places to train, and what skills should be trained. Most of the higher leveled areas I speak of will be non-member areas. In this article you will learn where to train, and why. My areas are not guaranteed to be free of other players.

Level 1-10
You start at Lumbridge at level one and you look around and see goblins everywhere. You should at least gain one or two levels from goblins. Then you move to cows or chicken. Kill cows and chicken, and take their meat. Their meat comes in handy later on when you need food for health points. Once you hit level 5, head towards Varrock. In Varrock, there are giant rats outside of the walls and inside of the sewers. Sewers are the best place to kill giant rats. When you enter Varrock from the East gate, you go north on the first split in the main road. You head up and to the left of the museum is a sewer door. Go down the ladder and you will end up in the Varrock sewers. Kill giant rats till about level 10. Once you hit level 10,upgrade your armor and weapon.

Level 11-20
You should head south to Al-Kharid. Go to the big building on the map, which is the Al-Kharid palace. In the palace you will find Al-Kharid warriors. One tip before you fight them is that when you attack one, the others will attack you as well. There is a fishing spot by the bank in Al-Khalid to get food if you run out. Train on Al-Khalid warriors till you are about level 20. Al-Khalid warriors are good to train on even after level 20 because of the aggressive factor. They spawn very fast, and all come after you. After you hit level 20, you should upgrade your armor and weapon. You should fish for meat, or kill cows. Cook the meats and have them ready for your next training session.

Level 21-30
Now, make your way towards Edgeville. When you are at Edgeville, you will see 2 yew trees in a separated building. In the room next to that are coffins. There is an entrance to the Edgeville Dungeon in the room with the coffins. Go in it. When you are in the dungeon, go straight and you will see level 21 skeletons. You can train on these from level 21 to 23 or so, then move on. Go through the gate, and keep running until you see level 25 skeletons. Train on these until you hit level 30. If training is going slow for you, then keep going forward and take a right. When you take a right you will find level 18 zombies. These are fairly easy to kill. Before you leave the dungeon, keep going forward until you see another gate. Go through the gate and through the mining room. Take a left and take another left into a small room. In this room there is a brass key in the top right corner. Take the key, because it comes in handy.

Level 30-55
Take the brass key you got from the dungeon, and bring it with you. Make your way out of Varrock west gate. Go straight till you reach the bridge leading to the Barbarian Village. Don’t cross the bridge, instead head north until you reach a small building. Open the door with your brass key, and go down the stairs. This is a shortcut to the Edgeville dungeon. In the dungeon you will see hill giants. These give decent experience points, and give good drops. Train on these till about level forty five. Once you hit forty five, head out of the dungeon, and go towards Varrock. Go back to the sewers in Varrock, and follow the path. Make sure you have a knife with you at all times. Make your way through the sewers until you see spider webs. Use your knife to cut them down, and follow the path. Put your run on and run past the red spiders. Now you will see moss giants. Moss giants have a lot of hp, so they give you a lot of experience. They give a lot of good drops. Kill these until level 50. Now make your way to Falador. In Falador, enter the castle and kill the white knights. Kill these until level 55. You can kill them afterwards, but if you have upgraded your weapon and armor until level 50, then you can perhaps kill ice monsters. Ice monsters are located at the blurite cave.

Level 56-90
The blurite cave is located south of Port Sarim. It is on the peninsula. There is a ladder leading down into the cave. In the cave are hobgoblins, ice warriors, and ice giants. Ice giants are level 52 and Ice warriors are level 57. Make your way to the ice, and start fighting the Ice warriors. Try to find a spot near a corner where you won’t be double teamed. Kill these until level 80 or so. Do quests in between levels, and training sessions to help you hit level 80 faster. Quests are a great source to get experience. Once you hit level 80, make your way to the Karamja dungeon. In the dungeon, there are lesser demons. Lesser demons have a lot of hp, so you will gain a lot of experience. They put up quite a fight though. For non-members Lesser Demons are the best way to level up.

Runescape Power Leveling Guide

Runescape power leveling can mean two different things. A Google search will find all kinds of sites with that will train your account for you. This breaks rule 6, but several people still do it. The majority of these sites are just after your password. They will charge you a certain price in real money, and then they get your account password. This is as risky as it can get. Most of these sites will offer “Live Help Agents” that you can talk with to help you with your “orders”. They will just reassure you it doesn’t break any rules and convince you to pay them money.

The other meaning to Runescape power leveling is when someone continuously trains and gets a load of levels. Therefore, if you hear someone say, “I am going to do some power leveling” now you know what it means. I am going to give you some training tips, because I would rather help you level yourself, than use the above method. When I find those kinds of sites, I report them to Jagex. They sell more than just levels; they will also sell gold and items. Although Jagex has put a trade limit on, they have found a way around it.

The best place to train in my opinion is the Stronghold of Security. Located right in the middle of Barbarian Village. There is a hole in the ground around where people are always mining. If you right click it, it will say Climb down Entrance. This Entrance is the entrance to the Stronghold of Security.

Goblins are excellent for low and high levels. They are easy to kill and give a nice amount of exp. Remember; you want quick and easy kills that give fair experience points, instead of slower kills and more experience. The reason is, with fast kills you can double and triple the experience in the time it takes to kill the higher level. Goblins are perfect for this. They are dead in about two to three hits and then you can be on to the next one.

The Stronghold of Security can be very fun, especially if you have not done it before. At the end of each level, there are rewards. For just the first level, you get 3,000 gold! The prizes just go up from there. If you are power leveling, no matter where, you are most likely going to need food. I highly recommend Tuna. They do not cost too much cooked and they heal about 10 points each. Carry around some Tuna, and it might save your life.

Runescape can be hard at times, but never resort to cheating. Cheaters never win, remember that. The only thing cheaters get is a nice ban. Alternatively, maybe not so nice, Haha. Runescape bans accounts for cheating daily. If you find a cheating website then I would suggest sending the link to Jagex. If we can get rid of the cheating, then Runescape will be a much better place where hard work is rewarding. Jagex cannot do it on their own; they need the help and support of their players.

Hope this can help you to know much more Runescape powerlveling in Runescape game!
